On August 7 and 8, 2010, in Hanoi, within the framework of the research program on quality assurance in the performance audit, INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and The Asisan Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) co-organized a meeting and went to the signing of an agreement on the roles and responsibilities between the SAI participants.
The cooperative program of quality assurance in the performance audit has been carried out under the initiative of IDI and ASOSAI training management SAI to enhance quality assurance in the performance audit of the SAIs in the region. Based on survey results in 2009 for IDI following needs and basic information on duties and experience in conducting performance audit of the SAIs, priority need to strengthen the quality assurance in performance audit, SAI 11 list selected to attend this program includes Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, China, and Vietnam.The involvement of SAI different levels of quality assurance in performance audit will improve the effectiveness of the program through the creation of more opportunities to learn and help each other.
Reportedly, the activities of the program is expected to continue until 2011, the participants will review and adopt to release a manual on quality management in the performance audit.
