Vietnamese Deputy Auditor General visits Austrian Court of Audit

On 12 March 2018 a team from SAI Vietnam headed by Deputy Auditor General Mr. Doan Xuan Tien had a meeting with Austrian colleagues in Vienna. Mr. Viktor Cypris, Director General of Section 1, Ms. Monika Gonzalez, the Director of INTOSAI General Secretariat and some other Austrian colleagues welcomed and worked with them team.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged on practical lessons in and results from implementing information technology plans in respective SAIs. Specific topics including IT development and application in auditing activities and IT development orientation were also  shared among the participants. The current situation on IT application in auditing activities by ACA was presented together with its experience in implementing IT audits which were highly appreciated by Vietnamese guests.
 
Also at the meeting, potential bilateral cooperation between the two SAIs was also discussed.  Accordingly, ACA’s sharing its experience on performance auditing and IT auditing is at the most interest by SAI Vietnam. On multilateral aspects, Tien expressed his desire that ACA on its role as the General Secretariat of INTOSAI will continue to support ASOSAI, particularly during the period 2018-2021 when SAV takes the role as Chairman of ASOSAI for the sake of the INTOSAI motto ‘Mutual experience benefits all’.
 
At the end  of the meeting, Tien and Viktor agreed that ACA and SAV would continue to strengthen the bilateral cooperation through mutual activities within the framework of  INTOSAI. On the occasion of the visit, Tien conveyed the invitation from the Auditor General of Vietnam Mr. Ho Duc Phoc to the President of ACA for visiting Vietnam next September to work with SAV and attend the 14th ASOSAI Assembly which will be held during 19-22 September this year.
