On 3 January 2018 a meeting was held in Hanoi to review the outlined contents of two cultural shows which will be performed at the Assembly. Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc, Head of the National Organising Committee of the 14th ASOSAI Assembly chaired the meeting with the participation of the Deputy Auditors-General and members of the Sub-committee on Protocol and Events.
Overview of the art review meeting
The 14th ASOSAI Assembly will be held at the Hanoi based National Conference Centre during 19 – 22 September 2018. The host SAI Vietnam is going to entertain the delegates and invitees with cultural art showcases at the Welcome Dinner on the eve of the Assembly and at its Openning Ceremony on the 19th September 2018. Vietnam Contemporary Art Theatre is going to be contracted for providing the displays.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Binh, Director of the theatre presented possible options on programme formats, stage designs and decoration, list of songs and art performance, and choices of singers and artists, etc. In his presentation, Binh also suggested the title of “Colours of Vietnamese Culture” for the dinner focusing on cultural diversity from different parts of Vietnam, and “International and Vietnamese concert” for the openning session which will be a combination of Vietnam’s traditional arts and several world famous songs performed by Vietnamese artists.
The presentation received lots of constructive comments from the meeting participants. Under Phoc’s direction, the outlined substence will be revised a bit to better reflect the topic of the Assembly ‘Environmental Auditing for Sustainable Development’ and should be ready to put on rehearsal for final approval about one month prior to the event.
