(sav.gov.vn) - From March 4-8, the delegation of the State Audit Office of Viet Nam (SAV) led by Deputy Auditor-General Ha Thi My Dzung will be paying a working visit to Laos PDR.
The delegation shall be comprised of leaders of Department of International Cooperation, Department of Audit Policy and Quality Control, Department of Legal Affairs, Regional State Audit Office No. III, Audit Training Institute and Department of Administration.
As planned, Ms. Dzung will work with the leaders of SAO on the afternoon of March 3 in order to discuss cooperation orientations between the two SAIs in the future. At the end of the working session, the SAV will present 20 laptops to SAO. On the late afternoon of the same day, the SAV will attend the handover ceremony of the Project Improving the SAO’s office operation governance toward modernization (E-Office Project). The Project (implementation period: 01 January 2023 - 01 December 2024) has been basically completed thanks to the active and effective coordination among SAO, SAV, LaoViet Bank and Unitel.
The achievement of this project has contributed to the modernization of SAO’s audit work and further deepened the cooperation between two SAIs in commensurate with the special traditional relationship between two countries.
At the ceremony, SAO and Unitel will sign a Minutes of E-Office Project Handover; then, LaoViet Bank and Unitel will sign a Minutes to terminate the Memorandum of Agreement on supporting the Project implementation signed by the SAV, LaoViet Bank and Unitel on November 24, 2022 in Laos under the witness of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos and Vietnam – Laos Cooperation Committee.
During the SAV delegation’s working trip to Laos PDR, from March 5 to 7, the SAV’s auditors will be sharing experiences with 50 SAO’s auditors on the skills of audit team leaders; skills in interviewing audited entities and Selection of audited entities as a basis to develop the annual audit plan.
As a part of the trip, the SAV delegation is also going to work with the Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane and the Laos Northern Region Audit Office in Luang Prabang./.
