The Auditor General reported on the preparation progress for hosting the 14th ASOSAI Assembly by the SAV. In the report, the Assembly is planned to take place in Hanoi during 19-22 September 2018. About 350 participants from 46 ASOSAI member SAIs and international organizations are expected to attend the gathering and its sideline meetings. The theme on ‘Environmental auditing for sustainable development’ has been chosen for the Assembly symposium.
Discussions on various preparatory works for the event were also undertaken as well. They ranged from reception and festivity arrangements to finance and logistic affairs, from information and communication to healthcare and security issues during the Assembly tenure. Hien requested close contact and cooperation among the Committee members right after the meeting. In the process SAV will play as the permanent coordination unit the Steering Committee. An organizing committee and five sub-committees will be set up and required to prepare their own workplans to ensure the success of this first-time Vietnam-hosted ASOSAI Assembly.
